Invitation

I'm an invitation to drama
a silent sealed envelope
irresistible for tearing
unstuck glue and shredded address
I wish to be returned or given
carefully steamed and secret
unharmed with enclosures intact
but changing so many hands
grabbed and passed around
the address is illegible
I'd like to sit between pages
an open book
gentle hands
or even flame
